Lume by Frido
Follow news and blogs in one calm RSS feed.
Lume by Frido is a free RSS reader that brings news, blogs, and updates into one calm feed. Follow sources you choose, find a story when you need it, and read on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
Your sources, not an algorithm
Add websites and blogs from Safari, along with compatible public feeds from YouTube, Reddit, Substack, and more. Organize sources by category and choose a feed layout that suits how you read.
Headlines without language barriers
Read headlines from sources in other languages without translating them one by one. Choose which sources to translate; Lume translates their headlines on your device, not the full articles.
Read without the noise
Open articles in a cleaner reader view when the website supports it, or save them for later. Find stories already loaded in Lume by searching their text or source, and narrow the results to unread or saved articles.
Bring your feeds with you
Moving from another RSS reader? Import its feed list as an OPML or CSV file instead of adding every source again. Turn on iCloud sync to use the same sources, saved articles, and settings across your devices.

A few things you might wonder.
What is an RSS reader, and how does Lume work?
RSS is a way for a website to publish its latest stories as a feed. A reader such as Lume brings those feeds together, so you can follow several sites without checking each one separately. You choose the sources; there are no algorithmic recommendations.
Can I read Reddit, YouTube, and Substack feeds in one RSS reader?
Yes, when the source offers a compatible public feed. You can see new Reddit posts, YouTube videos, and Substack posts alongside your news and blogs. Private posts and paid articles still require access from the publisher.
Can I import an OPML file into a new RSS feed reader?
Yes. Lume imports OPML subscription lists, so you can bring your existing feeds from another RSS reader instead of adding each source again. CSV import is supported too.
Can an RSS reader translate news headlines?
Yes. Turn on translation for the sources you choose, and Lume translates their headlines on your device. Full articles stay in their original language. Translation requires a device and language supported by Apple Intelligence.
Is Lume a free RSS reader for iPhone and Mac?
Yes. Lume is free to download on all three devices, and all its features are included. There is no subscription or separate account to create.

A calmer view of the web.
Bring the sources you love together and read at your own pace.
Available on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Requires iOS 26.0 or later on iPhone.
